Passenger In Out Logic

Passenger In Out Logic

The "Passenger" module works when an RFID card is tapped by passengers while entering and exiting a vehicle. Since the RFID reader works the same while a passenger is entering or exiting, there is a certain logic employed to differentiate getting in and out.

The first operation of an RFID tag in 24 hours is considered as a passenger entry into a vehicle. The second operation of the same tag in the same vehicle means a passenger gets out.

In order to avoid duplicate entries, if the second operation of the tag occurs in the same vehicle within 1 minute after getting into/out, then it is considered to be a false one. Such an operation is ignored by the system.

If a passenger gets into a vehicle using RFID tag, and afterward the same tag operates in another vehicle, then the system recognizes it as getting out of the first vehicle and getting into the second one.

If no RFID tag operation is detected within 10 hours after a passenger gets into a vehicle using an RFID tag, then such a passenger is recognized by the system as the one left a vehicle without operating the tag. An "Auto Checkout" is thus forced by the system.

If a passenger is already in the vehicle (Or he has not tapped out while exiting) before the previous midnight and a report is generated for the next day, the report will show that the passenger is in the vehicle from time 00:00:00, which is the start time of the period for which the report is generated.

If a passenger is "Auto Checked out", his exit time is shown as "Unknown" in reports because the system doesn't know when he has actually exited from the vehicle.
